Crime logs and security reports
The ISU Police Annual Security Report includes details about how reports are made, handled, and include the total number of reported incidents in a year.
Calls for service that require a completed incident report, follow-up investigation, or other formal action are entered into the ISU Police crime log. Reports include crimes within the patrol jurisdiction of the ISU Police, within the Iowa State campus geography, and crimes reported to another Campus Security Authority (CSA).
ISU Police assign a case number for all criminal and non-criminal reports. Only case numbers generated for incidents requiring a full incident report, follow-up investigation, or other formal action are listed in the log. Crimes are listed by the reporting date with the most recent at the bottom, and updated for the previous 60 days in compliance with the Clery Act.
